What is the Pilates Method?

The Pilates method of body conditioning is an exercise system created by Joesph Hubertus Pilates. This system focuses on improving flexibility, strength and balance for the entire body. It is a series of controlled and systematic movements coupled with focused breathing patterns that engages the body, mind and spirit.

What is the contemporary approach of the Pilates Method?

The contemporary Method incorporates a clinical approach utilizing the science of biomechanics to the Pilates Repertoire.  This system makes the exercises safer and more functional to the individual client.
